Asics is a sports equipment manufacturer of Japanese origin ( Kobe ) founded in 1949 and particularly known for its running shoes.
Asics “GEL” shoes have soles containing betagel. This gel containing silicone is intended to dampen the shock wave generated by the impact of the foot on the ground during the race. It is inserted in the heel of the shoes and in the forefoot.
The brand also offers other innovations such as the "ComforDry Sockliner" shoe, based on the so-called ortholite structure, which has the particularity of resisting abrasion and improving air circulation in the shoe. The "Solyte" technology, patented by Asics, corresponds to a new co-polymer based material without EVA which makes it possible to lighten the soles and therefore the shoes by 10% and which prevents the soles from deforming.
The new flytefoam technology developed and patented by Asics allows a better rebound which allows a more dynamic stride, this technology is located at the sole of the shoe.
